Photography is something that consumed a huge portion of my life, for both good and bad. But no matter how many curious individuals keep asking me how on earth I can make a living out of a camera, I still take great pride in my work. And quietly ask myself the same question. The journey hasn’t been effortless, quite the opposite. I started my business in 2010, when I graduated upper secondary school. Back then I painted and sculptured a lot and I really thought my photography would develop into something abstract and artsy for the world to be amazed by. A new name among the famous artists. Turned out no one cared about abstract art from an unexperienced twenty-something photographer, plus my self-marketing skills were very much non existing.
After that harsh realisation I began to shoot pretty much everything. Starting with concerts and musicians, ending with advertorials. In between I covered restaurants, events, weddings, corporate portraits, animals, landscapes. You name it and I’ve probably done it. My point is, I’ve gathered as much experience as humanly possible (including a bachelors degree in psychology and a couple of “fuck it, I’m leaving the country until the sun comes back”-trips around the world) and I want to keep developing and exploring the field of photography.
So, my ambition is to try new stuff and stay creative. If you have any of those gigs laying around, feel free to call me! Also, if you’re just on the hunt for new portraits for your company website - feel free to call me in that case too. I love photography, it makes me happy. So let’s cooperate, it might make you happy too!
Other than being a photographer, here are some possibly fun facts about me:
I own a sailboat even though I am deeply terrified of the ocean. Plants are kind of my pets. Creating stuff is awesome, especially sticky stuff like papier maché. I know a lot of different kinds of mushrooms. Obstacle Course Racing is my favorite work out, every fibre of your body hurts and you’re bruised from neck to toe, but gosh it feels great! I studied human resources for almost 4 years and earned a bachelors degree within the field of psychology, but all I really ended up with was a giant debt to the government. Rammstein is my favorite band, or maybe Sigur Ros. Hiking is fun, and camping is fun, however mosquitos are not. I use Canon and a Mac, but I really don’t care, Nikon and PC works fine too.
